Dear or Stewart,
I am sorry for the delay in answering your letter of August 17th. It came just as I was going to France for two days, and on return I found that my best chance of a short holiday was to come straight home.
This delays my being able to see you, which
I otherwise (as I told your brother) should be very glad
to do.
I would suggest your writing a line to Mr G. Grindle who is Assistant Under Secretary at the Colonial Office and seeing him at any rate in the first instance. I am asking him to be ready to do anything he can to help, as I know he will be coat glad to do. Should there be any hitch then, though I think Grindle should be able to help anything through, let me know
and I will do my best.
Yours very truly,
(Sd) ARTHUR TEEL-KAITLAND.
